I miss the sound 🔊 of the printer, not printing 🖨️ what I want him to print. I miss the sound of some students talking way too loud on the phone 📞 in the hallway. I miss the smell of overcooked coffee or microwave popcorn 🍿. Long story short: I miss the F11! This project from the kids creative agency is for everyone who misses the office/school as much as I do. Listening to some annoying printer sounds makes me happy these days!

Markus Rätz was an outstanding Swiss artist, one who constantly made our heads turn. Poetically, he delivered proof that it is always worth to look back, or to take a second, third and even fourth look as things might have changed since you last checked. Illusions, mirrors, puzzles, parts that form a whole, trap doors and wrong exits all made part of his unique practice. To commemorate his passing last week, the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris has shared Rätz’ short animated film Eben from 1971. It’s a masterpiece in miniature (you surely have never seen a drawing of the Swiss border turning into a funny, long-nosed fish!).

I never knew that there are so many design conferences around that you would need a whole website that keeps track of them. Neon Moiré is doing just that, it’s your “curated design conference calendar 📅”.
